Neglect

Hello my long lost friend! I haven't wrote for you for a little bit! In case you are wondering, I was just talking to my blog. You will probably see me posting less frequently. With the chaos called school I haven't had a lot of time to post. Being in all Pre- A.P classes, I have a whole lot of school work to do. Also I have just recently started selling duct tape wallets and have had a lot to make. Making them is very time consuming. so sorry if my blog is dead for a week or so. I will try to post as often as possible. Also I am thinking about having another photography contest in October time permitting. If so, it will probably start October 25 and end November 8 so be looking for that.

Oh and that last post about fall and winter, I wrote that Sunday and am just now able to post it.

Thanks Guys!

Fall and Winter

Ugh! The annual Fall Cold is here. I have been waking up  every morning with a headache (Tylenol is my best friend) my throat hurts and my ears and nose are stuffy! But Im glad. It has been getting cooler here and I LOVE it. I love the fall because I love the weather, colors and overall, the feeling. I can never quite put my finger on why I love the Fall so there are just a few broader reasons :). All I know it that I love October and November.

Sometimes I will just go outside and sit. Just admire the world and all its beauty. I especially like watching the sunset. Have you ever noticed how the colors change in the sunset for the different seasons? They all have their specific "mark". The colors are more vibrant and cooler in the summer. The colors in fall are warm and comforting. Oranges, yellows and reds swirl together to make a "Kodak Moment". Its beautiful and makes me get this goofy grin on my face (seriously, you would laugh) and warms my heart. I feel invincible and like nothing can ruin my evening after that.

I also love the winter. I like the gorgeous snow dusted lawns that we get once a year or the fact that we have to start our cars early and get them warm. A Texas winter is no Colorado or New York winter but it fabulous. We don't get snow that often but when we do we are excited! Last year it snowed I think three times and everyone was outside enjoying the weather.

All seasons are fun but these are a few of my favorites and why they are.

The Path

This is something I wrote the other day.

The sun rises and shows that it in fact always there even if we don't see it. Its brilliant light makes me shield my eyes and cast my shadow on the ground. The fire ball lights the world with it single glow and shows the paths that have been traveled by many and the path that has been traveled by few. I stand at the path less traveled knowing what's at the end. Its a narrow road and its bumpy but I choose it any ways. I know that the reward is far greater than the sufferings. Its hot and humid but I continue on longing for the end. I only see road. Its noon and the sun is high in the sky. It mocks me saying, " You should have chosen the other path. There's shade there." I ignore. Weaving in and out the road begins to change. Not smoother nor rougher, thinner, My mind says go back but my heart perseveres through it. I begin to weep. I realize that I am not doing this for the journey but for the result. I can't take a break because its the break that will break me. I will want to rest forever and never want to continue this great journey. The sky changes again. Its sunset. The marvelous colors explode over my head like a box of crayons. Pinks, purples, blues, oranges, and yellows swirl around my head. The amaze me. The sky is beautiful and begs me to sit and watch, but I can't. I have a promise to keep and a place to be. I push on. I look back once and see the few that have decide to take the journey to. They rest and watch an make me yearn for rest. I know where my rest is. It lies at the end of the path. At night, the stars come out of hiding and the moon finally shows it's face. The fireflies buzz in the midnight sky and show off there impressive light. I see a great light in the distance. Its bright but I must look. I see the a figure beaconing me to come and I run. I forget my aching tiredness and just run full force towards the light. This is what I have worked for. I have longed to be here for a long time and now I get my chance. My father was waiting for me. I ran to him and he and he embraced me.  At last I found rest in the shadow of his wings. He was what my journey was all about. Protector, Provider, Healer, King of kings and Lord of Lords. My shepherd and master, My strength and hope.
