Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to all! Today, I went over to my friend Katie's house and we, me, Katie and three other friends, exchanged our Christmas presents. I got  a butterfly neckless and earrings, some lipgloss, a butterfly t-shirt and duct tape, some lip gloss and a trip ice skating with my friends ( which we took two weeks ago). My friend Caleb took me and two other friends to see Peter Pan the play back in October. We went on a trail out by Katie's house and I got some pictures of some stuff we saw. Also a dog named Cobie went with us, and I'm serious, he is the size of a shetland pony! And one more thing to add. Tomorrow is my friend Allie's birthday! So happy birthday Allie!

Cobie in the lake thing that the trail led to.
Cobie on the trail
Random Berry things.
This is Caleb, Katie, Darby, and Autumn. I was behind the camera laughing at them while they almost broke the hammock .
I saw this on the way back to Katie's house and just took a random picture. I have no clue why I like it.

Today...

Today was a great day! I got to spend all day with one of my best friends, Allie,  and bake a cake for our youth pastor. Its his fiftieth I mean FORTIETH... birthday on Sunday. We, Allie and I, also got some Christmas presents done. I also made a camera strap cover for her out of duct tape and we made two big heart shaped cookies. Here are some pictures from the day.
I was acting goofy to mess with Allie... That makes five! (Only Allie with get that)
Allie did not want her picture... She's probably going to kill me for posting this
She wanted a new profile picture so I took this
Allie took this of me for a present for my mom... SHHHH! Don't tell her!

I just thought this was cool because my camera focused on her camera and she was blurred.

BIRDS!!!!

So a few days ago, I looked out the window to find thousands of birds descending on our house. EVERYWHERE you looked, you saw a sea of black. I immediately grabbed my camera and ran outside. I opened the door slowly, not wanting to scare any of them away, ( event though I did scare some away) and captured a little bit of the magic. As most photographers know, you may take 50 shots and only one is good... and thats what happened with me... So heres my needle in the haystack.

Yeah, those are birds..........

So this is my first Happy Monday! The theme is Christmas Decorations. I know that my picture isn't good but I thought it was funny. This year instead of decorating our tree, we decorated our puppy! Just kidding but she did want to help decorate....

CUPCAKES!

So as most schools, my schools last day for the rest of the year was yesterday. I always bake cupcakes for my teachers for their Christmas presents and this year was no diffrent. I am soooo pumped for you guys to see my creations! I made little North Poles! I made peppermint bark, put that around the edge, pu coconut in the middle and a peppermint stick in the center to make the Nort Pole. They were actually quite simple to make.... They were so much fun to make and all of my teachers loved them!

I Miss You Blog...

Dear Blog,

I have completely ignored you theses past few weeks. I have not had any time to blog lately because of the piles of homework and studying to do. I am sooo sorry you have become neglected!

Love,
Jessi

Okay, so now on to the real reason for this post!
Today at school I got to deliver Santa letters to little kindergardeners and they loved them! Let me explain why I was delivering Santa letters.... So the little kindergardeners wrote letters to Santa telling him what they want for Christmas. The school then sends them to the middle school to write replies to. We pretend to be elves that work in the letter writing department of the North Pole. We then get foam ice chest, put dry ice in them and the deliver them to the kindergarden classes. Once the kids get the letters we read each one of the letters to the children.
I was super excited to be able to deliver the letters and had even more fun looking at the looks on the little children's faces. One girl drew me a picture! Another one came up to me with the BIGGEST smile on her face and said, " Ummmm.... What's my elf's name again?" She then gave me the sweetest look and it put the biggest smile on my face. Today was a fun day.

I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
